Job Description

Role Overview The Head of NPD will lead the end-to-end strategy, design, and development of new product lines across Stanley Lifestyles portfolio (furniture, home dcor, lifestyle accessories, etc.). The role is responsible for driving innovation, market differentiation, and business growth through best-in-class product development, working closely with Design, R&D, Sourcing, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Define and drive the overall NPD strategy aligned to the business and brand vision. Identify market trends, customer insights, and emerging opportunities in the luxury lifestyle segment. Build and manage the NPD roadmap across categories with clear milestones. Product Innovation & Development Lead ideation, concept validation, prototyping, and product engineering processes. Partner with Design and Marketing to co-create innovative collections and hero products. Ensure best practices in materials innovation, sustainability, and premium craftsmanship. Foster a culture of design thinking and innovation within the organization. Program & Process Management Establish robust NPD processes — from concept to market launch. Drive cross-functional collaboration across Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Sales. Ensure efficient time-to-market, cost optimization, and premium quality standards. Stakeholder Management Partner with internal stakeholders (CEO, Sales, Marketing, SCM) and external collaborators (designers, vendors, global trend experts). Present NPD pipelines and progress to Leadership on an ongoing basis. Team Leadership Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing NPD and Innovation team. Inspire creativity while driving structured execution and accountability. Desired Profile Experience 12-18+ years in New Product Development, Innovation, or R&D in premium consumer product companies. Experience in furniture, luxury lifestyle, home dcor, fashion, or allied industries is highly preferred. Proven track record of delivering successful products from concept to market. Exposure to global trends, design sensibilities, and materials innovation. Skills & Attributes Strategic thinker with strong creative flair and commercial acumen. Deep understanding of customer insights, design trends, and manufacturing processes. Strong project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
