Job Description

Lead end-to-end NPD projects from feasibility, costing, design review to SOP (Start of Production).
Create and manage project timelines, APQP plans, and milestone tracking.
Lead CFT (Cross-Functional Team) including Production, Quality, Tool Room, PPC, Purchase, and Maintenance.
Understand customer drawings, specifications, grade/material requirements, plating/coating specifications.
Coordinate with customers for technical clarifications, design reviews, PPAP approval, and audit support.
Ensure compliance to all Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
Review and approve tool design, die layout, forging simulation, thread rolling and trimming tools.
Ensure timely development of dies, punches, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Validate and freeze process parameters through trials and capability studies.
Conduct
tool trials, machine trials, and pilot runs
.
Ensure machines are capable and ready with support from
Production & Maintenance
.
Optimize
cycle time, setup time
, and ensure productivity targets for new products.
Perform feasibility checks regarding material, process, tooling, calibration, manpower, and machine capability.
Prepare
costing sheets
(tool cost, cycle time, conversion cost, raw material cost).
Support sales/commercial team with costing and pricing inputs.
Ensure
zero defect
during trial and mass production.
Conduct
root cause analysis
, implement
Poka-Yoke
, and verify CAPA effectiveness.
Maintain customer PPM target during launch.
Lead a team of
NPD engineers, tool designers, and documentation executives
.
Provide training on
APQP, PPAP, process control, and technical standards
.
Maintain
project dashboard
, status reports, and escalate delayed activities.
Present monthly NPD performance in
Management Review Meetings
.
