The NPD QA Lead will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of new product developments (NPD) from concept to launch. This role involves integrating quality principles and practices into the NPD process, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
# Key Responsibilities
- NPD Quality Planning: Develop and implement quality plans for new product development projects, defining quality requirements and acceptance criteria.
- APQP and PPAP Management: Lead the application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) methodologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure successful new product launches.
- Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and select suppliers for new product components, conducting supplier audits and assessments.
- Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for quality issues during NPD, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation, preparing and presenting quality reports to project teams and management.
