Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform NDT inspections on castings as per approved procedures and international standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO, EN, etc.).

• Carry out UT (Ultrasonic Testing), RT (Radiographic Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), PT (Liquid Penetrant Testing), and VT (Visual Testing) depending on certification.

• Interpret and evaluate results of NDT methods and prepare inspection reports.

• Verify dimensional accuracy and surface quality of castings as per drawings and specifications.

• Support defect analysis and root cause identification for casting rejections.

• Maintain calibration and upkeep of NDT equipment.

• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and third-party inspection requirements.

• Assist in developing inspection plans, WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), and QAPs (Quality Assurance Plans) related to NDT.

• Coordinate with production, methoding, and quality teams for defect prevention and process improvements.

• Train shop-floor supervisors/workers in basic defect identification and NDT awareness.

• Ensure adherence to safety norms while handling radiographic and other NDT activities
