Job Summary

Node.js Tech Lead

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable Node.js applications and APIs
• Define coding standards, best practices, and technical guidelines
• Review system design, code quality, and performance optimizations
• Make key technology and framework decisions
• Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of applications

Backend Development

• Develop and maintain Node.js applications using JavaScript/TypeScript
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services
• Work with microservices architecture and containerized applications
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and production incidents

Database & Performance

• Design and optimize schemas for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
• Ensure efficient query performance, indexing, and scalability
• Oversee data integrity, migrations, and database best practices

AI Tools & Innovation

• Promote and actively use AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, Tebnine)
• Guide the team in integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude) into applications
• Use AI tools for debugging, performance tuning, and development acceleration
• Encourage best practices in prompt engineering and AI-assisted workflows

DevOps & Cloud

• Oversee deployments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Define and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Ensure application monitoring, logging, and reliability

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers
• Conduct code reviews and technical knowledge-sharing sessions
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and business teams
• Support hiring, onboarding, and technical interviews

Must-Have Skills (812 years)

Technical

• Strong expertise in 

  Node.js, Express.js

  , and backend architecture
• Advanced JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge (ES6+, async/await)
• Experience with 

  PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis

• Strong understanding of 

  REST APIs and GraphQL

• Experience with microservices, Docker, and cloud platforms
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha)
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills

AI & Modern Development

• Regular use of AI coding assistants
• Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude)
• Understanding of AI-driven development workflows

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to take ownership and drive technical decisions
