About the Role:
Were looking for a skilled Node.js Developer to join our fast-paced tech team at Wits Innovation Lab. Youll be working on scalable backend systems, APIs, and real-world product integrations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building high-performance backend logic and wants to grow in a collaborative, product-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain efficient server-side logic using Node.js
Build secure and scalable RESTful APIs
Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver end-to-end features
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Required Skills:
5+ years of hands-on development experience with Node.js
Strong understanding of backend architecture and microservices
Hands-on experience with TypeScript for building scalable and type-safe Node.js applications
Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL)
Solid understanding of REST APIs, version control (Git), and deployment pipelines
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
