Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Node.js Technical Lead to drive backend development

excellence across product engineering initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role where

youll architect scalable systems, mentor developers, and collaborate cross-functionally to

deliver high-impact solutions.

Technical Environment

Our platform is built on:

• Backend: Node.js with serverless architecture
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS Lambda, S3, SQS, and other AWS services
• Architecture Pattern: Event-driven microservices
• Storage: Multi-tenant file vault on S3
• Data Processing: Bulk data ingestion and processing pipelines

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead the design and development of high-performance, scalable server-side

applications using Node.js.

• Help define and enforce coding standards, architecture principles, and best

practices.

Architecture & Development

• Make strategic decisions on system architecture and design.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize performance.

Team Management

• Mentor and guide a team of developers.
• Conduct code reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with product managers, frontend developers, QA, and DevOps teams to

deliver integrated solutions.

• Coordinate with platform leads and project managers for seamless execution.

Agile & Innovation

• Drive Agile/Scrum practices across the development lifecycle.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends to foster innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in Node.js.
• Proven expertise in Express.js/Fastify/NestJS, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
