Night Auditor - Hotel

The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the hotel’s daily financial transactions and ensuring all guest accounts are accurate. This role combines front desk operations with end-of-day accounting tasks, performed during the overnight shift.

Key Responsibilities: Front Office Operations

• Greet and assist late-arriving guests with check-in and check-out processes.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally during the night.
• Monitor hotel security and ensure guest safety during night hours.

Financial & Audit Duties

• Reconcile daily financial transactions from all departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, etc.).
• Post room charges, taxes, and other revenues to guest accounts accurately.
• Verify and balance cash drawers, credit card transactions, and folios.
• Prepare daily revenue reports and submit to management before the morning shift.
• Ensure compliance with hotel accounting policies and procedures.

Systems & Reports

• Close the day in the Property Management System (PMS).
• Generate and distribute end-of-day reports for all departments.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of hotel PMS software (e.g., Opera, IDS, Protel, or similar).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently during night hours.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or Commerce preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years in Front Office/Accounting; experience as a night auditor or front desk agent is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
