We are seeking a News Analyst (SME for our product suite) to analyze global and regional news, track market-moving events, and generate actionable intelligence using Scry AI's platforms. This role ensures timely insights for decision-makers across BFSI, policy, and corporate strategy domains.

Role Overview

As a News Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and synthesizing news from diverse sources to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.

You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Scry AI's solutions such as Auriga Real-Time Executive Intelligence, Collatio Data & Document Intelligence, and Concentio IoT/Edge Analytics, applying them to real-world news and intelligence workflows.

This role requires both editorial/journalistic expertise and the ability to leverage AI-driven tools to deliver accurate, contextual, and real-time insights.

Key Responsibilities

News Monitoring & Research

• Track breaking news, financial markets, geopolitical events, and industry-specific developments.
• Identify misinformation, biases, and validate facts across multiple news sources.
• Analyze media sentiment and assess the impact on businesses, industries, and policy.

AI-Driven Intelligence (SME Role)

• Use Auriga to query news databases and generate executive summaries with citations.
• Apply Collatio to extract structured data from reports, filings, and press releases.
• Leverage AI-powered sentiment and trend detection tools to surface early signals.
• Build thematic reports (e.g., ESG, policy shifts, economic risks) using real-time analytics.

Reporting & Insights

• Prepare concise news briefs, market intelligence reports, and risk alerts.
• Deliver actionable insights for business leaders, regulators, and analysts.
• Create dashboards and trackers for ongoing monitoring of news-driven events.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with strategy, risk, and research teams to contextualize insights.
• Provide feedback to product teams on news analysis and intelligence features.
• Support training and adoption of AI-powered media monitoring tools.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in journalism, financial news, policy research, or market intelligence.
• Strong knowledge of global and regional news ecosystems, with the ability to contextualize complex stories.
• Experience with AI-driven media monitoring or analytics platforms.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle large volumes of news and extract meaningful insights quickly.
• Strong attention to detail, fact-checking, and editorial integrity.
