Role Overview: Siemens Energy is looking for an experienced individual to join their team as a Cycle Development Engineer. As part of the PRM-R&D team, you will play a crucial role in researching and developing new STG products. In this role, you will be responsible for developing concepts for new technologies, prototyping, testing, and validating concepts, as well as collaborating with research partners and external companies. Your primary focus will be on preparing heat and mass balance diagrams, optimizing cycles, finalizing technical specifications of key components, and developing small test setups for testing and validation. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare heat and mass balance diagrams for the complete cycle (steam, organic Rankine cycle). - Optimize cycles and finalize technical specifications of key components. - Develop a detailed understanding of cycle components, including rotating components such as compressors, expanders, pumps, and heat exchangers. - Evaluate technical offers from vendors and discuss with vendors to finalize components. - Understand technology development projects from prototyping to final execution. - Develop small test setups for testing concepts, design, execution, testing, and validation. - Cooperate with national and international research partners. Qualifications Required: - 5-8 years of experience in cycle development and components finalization for new technologies development. - Technical skills with a proven track record of completing interdisciplinary research and development projects in a global environment. - Excellent technical knowledge of thermodynamic cycles and process flows. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - B. Tech. or M. Tech. from IITs and other premier institutes.
