New Product Development (NPD) - Manager

Job Title:

Job Purpose

The NPD Manager will lead and oversee the development of innovative products aligned with business strategy. This role involves supervising the R&D team, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring successful execution of product development projects within defined timelines, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage end-to-end

   New Product Development (NPD)

   initiatives in line with strategic business objectives.
2. Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of R&D professionals to build a high-performing and collaborative work culture.
   
3. Collaborate with

   production, quality, and project teams

   to ensure seamless product development, scale-up, and commercialization.
4. Oversee timely execution of R&D projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and company protocols.
   
5. Drive product formulation, testing, and process development to achieve performance, quality, and cost objectives.
   
6. Monitor market and industry trends to identify opportunities for new product innovation and improvement.
   
7. Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and progress reviews to senior management.
   

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science

  , or related technical discipline.

• Experience:

  5–8 years of progressive experience in R&D, preferably in

  leathercloth, artificial leather, textiles, furniture, or related industries

  .
• Demonstrated expertise in

  product formulation, testing, and process development

  .
• Proven

  leadership skills

  with experience in managing technical teams and product development projects.
• Strong

  project management, problem-solving, and analytical abilities

  with the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Industry exposure to

  artificial leather, textiles, furniture, furnishings

  , or similar will be considered an added advantage.
