New Product Development Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end product development process for fine jewellery collections.
• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to conceptualize and develop seasonal product lines aligned with market trends and brand identity.
• Oversee sampling, prototyping, and final product approvals, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline targets are met.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination with CAD, production, and QC teams.
• Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to propose new product ideas.
• Maintain technical specifications, BOMs, and costing sheets.
• Conduct regular reviews of product performance and identify areas for improvement or innovation.
• Manage the PD calendar and ensure adherence to critical path timelines.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors/Diploma in Jewellery Design, Product Development, or related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the jewellery industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial PD role.
• Strong knowledge of design interpretation, CAD/CAM processes, and jewellery manufacturing.
• Understanding of precious metals, gemstones, and jewellery trends.
• Proficient in tools like Rhino, Matrix, CorelDRAW, Excel, and ERP systems.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
