New Product Development Engineer

Job Summary:

This role is increased responsibility for developing new projects to support the TBG sales activity via PPAP activity, designing tooling concepts via CAD and identifying/managing world class manufacturing processes and error proofing processes for repeatable and reliable quality product yield.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the team for Supplier Project Development
• Estimate all required tooling on new RFQs and communicating the results to the APAC Sourcing Team in a timely manner
• Developing CAD models to support engineering
• Communicating, tracking, and managing supplier activity from PPAP launch through the first production run via TBG internal reporting and communicating activity daily to TBG engineering team
• Identifying the following:
• The required manufacturing process based on print interpretation
• Raw material requirements and/or equivalents
• The gauges and/or gauge system required to inspect parts from print interpretation
• The appropriate inspection equipment and methodology for the process
• Demonstrating physical competency with instrumentation to inspect parts
• Reviewing documents and reverting back to suppliers the required corrections needed for a successful PPAP sampling
• Exhibiting a sense of urgency and excellent communication follow-up with all internal coworkers and customer engineering
