New Product Development and Design Engineer - Pedda Pariya

We are currently looking for candidates for the position of New Product Development (NPD) Engineer with specific expertise in core box and pattern making within the automotive foundry casting development field.

Job Title: New Product Development (NPD) Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop casting patterns for various types of foundry castings.

• Over see the complete core box manufacturing process, including cold core box, shell core box, packing core, and PTO core, ensuring accurate internal core profile generation in SAP.

• Manage the no-core bake process, optimizing results and improving casting quality.

• Develop and optimize gating systems and casting designs for improved production outcomes.

• Evaluate solidification FEA to enhance casting robustness and quality.

• Identify opportunities to streamline and accelerate the process for timely design data submission, sample submission activities, simulations, and inspections.

• Work closely with engineering teams to integrate design changes for manufacturing feasibility.

• Assess casting defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product-specific processes for better reliability and overall quality.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience in core box manufacturing, including cold core box, shell core box, packing core, and PTO core.

• Proficiency in CAD modeling and design for casting patterns.

• Experience with foundry casting processes and techniques.

• Knowledge of process/product simulation software (e.g., Magma & Ansys).

Educational Qualification:

• B.E.in Mechanical Engineering.

• 3 to 5years of relevant experience in new product development and foundry casting processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
