Networking Administrator - Routing & Switching

As a Senior Network Administrator, you will leverage your 8+ years of experience in network infrastructure to ensure the smooth operation, security, and performance of our organization's software, hardware, and networks. Your responsibilities will include designing, configuring, and maintaining LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, and other network infrastructure components. You will proactively monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security policies to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Leading network-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and migrations, will be a key part of your role. You will provide Level 2/3 support, mentor junior staff, manage IP address schema, DNS/DHCP, VLANs, and wireless access points. Monitoring system health, usage metrics, and trends, as well as documenting network configurations and procedures, will also be essential tasks. Collaborating with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with IT security policies and regulations will be crucial, as well as ensuring timely updates, patches, and firmware upgrades for all networking equipment. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 6+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar position. Strong knowledge of major networking technologies like Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, switches, and routers are required. Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP), deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols, familiarity with network monitoring tools, excellent troubleshooting skills, and strong documentation and communication abilities will be beneficial for this role.,
