As an experienced candidate for the position, you must have thorough knowledge at an expert level of LAN technologies switches, routers, and firewalls. This includes centralized monitoring and management in large-scale, high-availability environments. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of WAN Accelerators such as Riverbed WAN optimizer and other similar products in the industry. Familiarity with Load Balancers like F5 load balancers and other similar products is also essential. Your expertise should extend to QoS and LAN traffic management techniques. Furthermore, a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, TCPIP, networking, and information system security principles, practices, and technologies is crucial. You should also have a solid grasp of core Internet routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc., as well as services. Proficiency in intrusion detection systems and intrusion prevention system technology is required. Advanced knowledge of large-scale LAN/WAN switching and routing implementation and operation is a must, with specific expertise in VTP, VLAN, VPN, MPLS & P2P networking.
