Job Description

The role involves working as part of a global, multi-locational cross-matrix team within a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in driving forward and maintaining the technical estate, taking on operational responsibilities and participating in change and project work as necessary. Collaboration with various teams, including Service Desk, Platforms, Information Security, and User Services, is essential. You will be expected to proactively take ownership of incidents, problems, or issues while adhering to SLAs and OLAs where applicable. Serving as a technical resource for change requests and project works, you will provide expertise for maintenance, firmware upgrades, and recurring patch cycles, following documented Standard Operating Procedures and other relevant documentation. Using ServiceNow to update incidents and requests, you will stay informed about the technology roadmap for both existing and new technologies. The role may require shift work, weekend work, and on-call responsibilities. A minimum CCNA qualification is necessary, with an ideal candidate holding or working towards CCNP. Proficiency in Branch & Data Centre Switching & Routing, Wireless technologies, Enterprise Firewalls (especially Palo Alto), Internet routing and security, Cloud technologies, routing protocols, VPN technologies, Proxy technologies (e.g., Bluecoat or McAfee), Load Balancers, IP Address management, and network services (DNS, DHCP, NTP) is required. Familiarity with network management, monitoring, and diagnostic tools, as well as network probes and packet capture analysis, is essential.
