Job Description

As an experienced Information Security professional, your role will involve performing Vulnerability assessments & Policy Compliance using leading Vulnerability Scanning solutions such as Qualys. You will be responsible for conducting assessments on a variety of systems including On-prem, Cloud hosted systems, containers (like Docker & Kubernetes), databases, web services, and other widely deployed infrastructure components. Your key responsibilities will include: - Conducting false positive validation and ensuring the delivery of quality reports. - Acting as a technical subject matter expert to analyze vulnerability results & detection logic. - Providing technical advice and support on remediation to infrastructure/application support teams. - Reviewing findings, identifying root causes for common issues, and providing recommendations for sustainable improvements. - Maintaining vulnerability quality assurance by building a technical knowledge base for the VM team. - Researching and reporting on security vulnerabilities and the latest advancements in the vulnerability management lifecycle. - Understanding security policies, procedures, and guidelines to effectively communicate with management and staff. - Establishing cooperative working relationships and providing suggestions to improve vulnerability management services based on current trends in information technology. - Acting as a line manager in the absence of the team lead. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 6 years of experience in Information security, preferably in the Banking and Financial services sector. - In-depth working experience with Cloud technologies, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and proxies would be an added advantage. - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology, or its equivalent. - Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, CCIE, CCNP Security, CISA, CRISC, and CISM would be a plus. - Strong knowledge and subject matter expertise in multiple areas within Information Security. - Hands-on skills and expertise in performing risk/threat assessments and risk consulting. - Excellent written, oral communication, and reporting skills. - Providing technical leadership, expertise, and direction for the design and implementation of information technology security systems. - Developing strategies for maintaining and measuring compliance against security policies, standards, and guidelines district-wide. - Time management and organizational skills along with the ability and desire to learn new skills quickly. - Performing any other related duties as assigned by the organization.,
