Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, your main responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving L2-level network incidents escalated from L1 support. You will be responsible for configuring, managing, and maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto. Conducting root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommending permanent fixes will also be a part of your role. Monitoring network performance, responding to alerts from monitoring tools, and implementing approved changes in the network environment, including upgrades and patching, are crucial tasks. Additionally, supporting VPN configuration, VLAN setup, and routing protocol management (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and ensuring compliance with security standards and IT policies are essential responsibilities. Maintaining accurate documentation for configurations, topology diagrams, and procedures and collaborating with other IT teams for cross-functional troubleshooting and projects are key aspects of this position. To excel in this role, you should have at least 3-5 years of experience in network operations and support. A strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, and HSRP is required. Hands-on experience with Cisco or Juniper network devices, familiarity with firewall policies, and VPN technologies are also essential. The ability to work in 24x7 shift rotation or on-call schedules, along with good communication and documentation skills, will be beneficial for this position.,
