Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Cisco-based network infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and security. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, implementing, and maintaining Cisco-based network solutions. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets organizational requirements. - Identifying and resolving network-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. - Conducting regular system audits to ensure optimal performance and security. - Implementing and managing network security protocols to safeguard against unauthorized access and cyber threats. - Staying updated on industry best practices for network security and implementing necessary measures. - Monitoring network performance and proactively addressing any bottlenecks or performance issues. - Optimizing network configurations for maximum efficiency and reliability. - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures. - Creating and updating network diagrams to reflect the current state of the network. Your technical skill set should include proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers and switches, experience with Cisco/Checkpoint firewalls and VPN configurations, and knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus series switches. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLAN management, Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies, firewall policies, intrusion detection and prevention systems, wireless networking, and network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Cisco Prime. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - Willingness to stay updated on the latest developments in networking technologies.
