Job description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Network Engineer with expertise in CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, and FortiGate technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and performance. This role demands a proactive professional with hands-on experience in both wired and wireless networks, advanced routing and switching, firewall administration, and network security. Ruckus SmartZone WLC or Zone Directory WLC Key Responsibilities Network Design & Implementation Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructures using Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) and FortiGate devices. Deploy and optimize wireless networks based on CWNA best practices and 802.11 standards. Develop and document network architecture diagrams and configurations. Network Administration Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, VLANs, and FortiGate firewalls. Monitor and maintain wireless networks for optimal performance, coverage, and security. Set up and manage VPNs, firewalls, and security policies using FortiGate appliances. Troubleshooting & Support Diagnose and resolve network performance issues, connectivity problems, and security breaches. Perform advanced troubleshooting on network infrastructure, including wireless and wired connections. Provide Level 2/3 escalation support for network-related incidents. Security Management Implement and manage network security policies, including access controls, intrusion prevention, and endpoint security. Regularly update firmware, patches, and configurations to ensure compliance with industry standards. Conduct periodic network vulnerability assessments and risk mitigation. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and network changes. Provide regular reports on network performance, uptime, and incidents. Required Skills & Qualifications Certifications: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator) FortiGate (Fortinet NSE Level 4 or equivalent) Technical Skills: Proficiency in routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching concepts (STP, VLANs, Trunking). Knowledge of wireless networking fundamentals, RF principles, and 802.11 standards. Experience with Fortinet products, including FortiGate firewalls and FortiManager. Network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark). Understanding of IPSEC and SSL VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and QoS. Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles. Experience in managing and troubleshooting enterprise-level networks. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SD-WAN solutions. Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments. Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or Python for network scripting. Work Environment Hybrid/On-site, with periodic travel to data centers or client locations. On-call availability for critical network incidents.
