Description
As a Network Engineer at Gadgeon, you will play a crucial role in configuring, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting client routing infrastructure and customer/carrier IPSec VPN tunnels. Your strong understanding of network architecture, particularly in supporting mission-critical cellular network connectivity and associated services, will be essential for success in this dynamic and rewarding career opportunity. Your key responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving network issues to ensure seamless connectivity and performance, building and managing IPSec VPNs for customers, and developing standard operating procedures. You will collaborate with global network, systems engineering, and software development teams to deploy and support new hosted products and services, configure and maintain regional network performance monitoring systems, and implement security strategies to safeguard network infrastructure. To excel in this role, you should have 3+ years of hands-on experience in network routing, switching, and firewall management. Your expertise in networking protocols and technologies, including IPSec, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, IPv6, VTI & GRE, PBR, NAT, VPDN, and L2TP, will be critical. Additionally, hands-on experience with Cisco network support, administration, monitoring, and tuning is required, and a CCNA certification would be a plus. Your ability to work independently and within a global virtual team, excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills, and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly will be key to your success. Experience with cellular operators, familiarity with GSM/GPRS and 4G networks, knowledge of Python and Ansible for network automation, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP are advantageous.
