L2/L3 Network Engineer (Cisco Switches)

- Strong experience in Routing and Switching technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills on Networking technology
- Experience in Managing large enterprise WAN, LAN and WLAN networks.
- Hands-on experience with NAC deployment.
- Expertise in multi-vendor L2/L3 switches and routers with experience in Cisco switches & routers a must.
- Proficiency in Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS CLI
- Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches.
- Setting up IP routing, sub-interfaces and VLAN interfaces (SVI) on routers and L3 switches.
- Implement ACLs, QoS, PBR (policy-based routing) etc.
- Familiarity with stacking technologies and Virtual switching systems (VSS)
- Cisco DNAC, SolarWinds or Nagios for network monitoring.
- Understanding SDN concepts and Cisco ACI
- Analyzing Cisco Show and debug commands
- Knowledge of Netflow protocol and related tools.
- In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN support for data networks at Access, Aggregation, and Core network including redundancy protocols such as HSRP, VRRP etc.
- In-depth knowledge of WLAN technologies Wireless controller & access points.
- Thorough understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks including MPLS, OSPF, BGP4, STP, RSTP, VTP, VLAN.
- Familiarity with MPLS & WAN communication technology like Internet VPN, SSL VPN.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience with routing and switching.
- Router, Switch, and IP configuration experience.
- Knowledge of Load Balancer, WAN Optimizer and security devices is an additional advantage.
- Familiarity with ITIL Framework concepts such as Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Flexibility for long working hours and readiness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts and weekends.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication at all levels.

- Installing and configuring network equipment.
- Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems.
- Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance.
- Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues.
- Implementing disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best-practice.
- Trouble ticket updates and administration throughout the life of the ticket
- Customer update through issue resolution for Escalated Issues
- Make data driven decisions
- Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting.
- Excellent in doing a RCA for customer network problems.
- Assign/Monitor tickets in shift and make sure of SLA adherence
- Contribute to MoMs, Shift Handovers, Daily shift summary reports and training documents
