Network Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY-

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of our network infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with the Infrastructure team to establish security, performance, redundancy and reliability of our network systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

The position responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

? Design and implement network solutions using Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco Meraki equipment to support growing infrastructure needs

? Manage and optimize our Palo Alto firewall deployments, including security policies, VPNs, and threat prevention features

? Configure and maintain Cisco Meraki networking devices, including switches and access points

? Monitor network performance and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations

? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network solutions align with business requirements and cybersecurity best practices

? Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures

? Implement and manage network automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks

? Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior network team members

? Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in network security and infrastructure

? Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director IT

KNOWLEDGE, SILLS, ABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must Have Skills/Experience:

? Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

? 4+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco Meraki technologies

? Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification

? Cisco Meraki certification (e.g., CMNA, CMNO)

? In-depth knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols

? Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible)

? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues

? Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical

stakeholders

Preferred Skills/Experience:

? Experience in the legal services or healthcare industry

? Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure)

? Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies

? Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework 1.1 and NYDFS 500.03
