**Job Description** **Role:** Network Engineer **Experience:** 2-4 years **Location:** Hyderabad (Hybrid) **Shift:** Night **Availability:** Immediate candidates only **Budget:** 5-7 LPA Max. --- **Mandatory Skills:** Candidates must have strong experience in the following areas: 1. **Routing and Switching (mandatory):** - Good understanding of OSI layers, switching, and routing concepts. - Experience in configuring and managing dynamic protocols (BGP). - Experience in configuring switching technologies (VLAN, Spanning Tree, etc.). - Familiarity with wireless networks. - Understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) for marking and queuing. - Familiarity with IP VPN technologies, such as GRE and IPSEC, is a plus. - Experience with monitoring technologies and providing solutions to issues. - Experience with incident management, change management, and problem management. 2. **Additional Knowledge (a plus):** - Familiarity with firewalls (Juniper SRX, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), including VPN and DNS. - Knowledge of Cisco Nexus technology, including NXOS. - Familiarity with Wireshark for troubleshooting. - Experience with monitoring technologies and resolving issues. - Scripting knowledge, preferably in Python. --- **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues. - Handle escalated issues (incidents, changes, problems). - Record all actions using the incident management tool and methodology. - Identify potential or candidate problems in the network and provide solutions. - Engage in proactive problem management based on trend analysis of incidents. - Design and execute IT changes. - Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., firewalls, DNS, routers, switches). - Roll out version and configuration upgrades. - Perform other operational duties as assigned. - Build a documentary repository for troubleshooting and knowledge articles, ensuring knowledge sharing across the team. --- **Expectations:** - A professional who strongly believes in people and organizational values, such as respect for individuals, teamwork, readiness to serve, a cost-benefit mindset (as if spending your own money), efficiency with simplicity, and open communication while respecting privacy and confidentiality. - Ability to work in a complex environment with numerous challenges and flexibility to adapt to changing situations. - Strong communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, written) in English, including the ability to anticipate impacts. - A self-driven individual who can think ahead, takes a proactive approach, is a quick learner, and possesses a strong sense of ownership. - Demonstrate a high degree of personal leadership and set new standards. - Be sociable and able to build professional relationships with people at all levels. - Customer-friendly yet assertive, particularly with critical non-standard requests. - Proficient in creating and maintaining documentation in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
