Key Responsibilities: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Juniper routers and switches (EX, MX, SRX series). Perform firewall administration, including rule-base review, policy implementation, and security monitoring (Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar). Support daily L2 network operations including incident management, problem resolution, and change management. Collaborate with L1/L3 teams to ensure smooth incident escalation and resolution. Monitor network performance, utilization, and security logs to proactively identify issues. Participate in network maintenance activities including firmware upgrades, backups, and DR drills. Execute VLAN, routing, and subnet configuration and support IP address management. Provide technical support for remote access/VPN users. Assist in managing network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG). Maintain documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs. Job Description: Network Engineer will be part of the IT Infrastructure team that provides design, deployment & support for systems, services, and requirements across PhonePe Corporate locations. Responsibilities & requirements: • This is a hands-on technical role. • Independently own the Network Infrastructure support solving complex issues and suggesting design modifications as appropriate. • Ensure SLAs are met • Responsible for performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting, and capacity planning for the Network platforms. • Perform monitoring and maintenance of the overall environment working with experienced team members. • Perform change controls. Update process documentation and team portals • Participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning, analysis, performance analysis & Root Cause Analysis. • Communicate with peers and managers regarding system issues & participate in 24x7 on-call. • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks in a dynamic environment, with tight deadlines concurrently. Experience & Qualifications: • 4-8 years of experience in design, deploy & manage IPv4/IPv6 networks(Routers/Switches/Firewalls and WiFi Solution) • Platform knowledge on Juniper /Aruba/ FortiGate/Cisco • Solid understanding of IP/MPLS and Ethernet technologies. • Experience in IP services (IPv4, IPv6, VPN, Multicast, QOS, SNMP, VOIP, SIP, etc). • Experience in Wireless technologies (Wireless Lan topologies, devices, troubleshooting, 802.11 network security architecture & RF site surveys) • Proven experience in network management & Expert knowledge of network analysis tools ( Nagios, Zabbix, etc) • Hands-on experience with Protocol Analyzer tools & debugging tools. • Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF configuration • Experience with firewalls, VPN's, remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired • Knowledge on Linux Platform. • Engage with vendors. • Good communication skills • Familiarity with backup and recovery process, software and methodologies • Candidates with Multi-platform skills are preferred.
