Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Develop and maintain device hardening standards
Deliver network compliance reports
Monitor the companys intrusion detection systems
Prepare detailed reports regarding intrusions and events
Assess and analyze anomalous network and system activity
Deploy and administer network access control lists, firewall rule sets, VPNs, and NACs
Maintain in-house compliance monitoring systems using scripting and an SQL interface
Identify and implement improvements to our network assessment processes
Develop a logging pipeline for new security appliances
Review connectivity requests to ensure compliance with in-house and external policies
Consult with internal IT groups regarding security when implementing new and existing network technologies
Troubleshoot client issues related to security
Serve as a subject matter expert on securing network systems
Research and assess new sources of threat intelligence and threat actors in order to improve our security protections

Preferred candidate profile

Experience troubleshooting network issues
Experience configuring Access Control Lists, firewalls, and routers
Thorough knowledge of information security principles
Knowledge of network hardware devices
Knowledge of network services, exploits, vulnerabilities, and attacks
Knowledge of ACS external database authentication methods
