Job Description

Skill : NetBackup.

Exp : 6 - 9 Yrs.

Location :Primary (Pune / Chennai), Secondary (Hyderabad / Bangalore).

NP : 30 Days.



Job Description:

The NetBackup Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the NetBackup backup and recovery solution in a complex enterprise environment. The administrator will also provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for NetBackup-related issues.

Responsibilities:


  1. Install, configure, and maintain NetBackup servers and clients in a complex enterprise environment.

  2. Create and maintain NetBackup policies, schedules, and backup jobs to ensure data is backed up according to established business requirements.

  3. Monitor and troubleshoot NetBackup backups, restores, and related issues, such as connectivity problems, storage issues, or configuration problems.

  4. Ensure that backups are tested and validated for completeness and accuracy.

  5. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure backups are properly integrated with other infrastructure components, such as storage, network, and security.

  6. Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and enhancements to the NetBackup environment.

  7. Document the NetBackup environment, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

  8. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies that align with business requirements.

  9. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing activities.


Requirements:


  1. 5+ years of experience in NetBackup administration in a complex enterprise environment.

  2. In-depth knowledge of NetBackup installation, configuration, and maintenance procedures.

  3. Experience with NetBackup policy creation, schedule management, and job monitoring.

  4. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex backup and recovery issues.

  5. Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing.

  6. Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  7. Ability to work independently and manage customer communication.

  8. Industry certifications such as Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS) or equivalent are a plus.

  9. Working in 24*5 shift model and 24*2 Oncall over weekends


Work from Office in Hybrid model (3 Days / Week), until Work from Office become permanent
