Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance MySQL databases for lending applications.
Optimize queries, indexing, and database performance to ensure scalability and responsiveness.
Develop stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support application logic and business workflows.
Ensure database security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested.
Perform data migration, integration, and ETL processes from multiple data sources.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot production issues proactively.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards (ISO, PCI DSS, etc.).
Document database designs, schema changes, and operational procedures.
Support application development teams with SQL query optimization and database architecture improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

5+ years of hands-on experience as a MySQL Developer or Database Engineer.
Proven experience in the Fintech or Lending domain with exposure to NBFC or digital lending systems.
Strong expertise in SQL query optimization, indexing, and database tuning.
In-depth knowledge of MySQL architecture, replication, clustering, and partitioning.
Experience with database backup, recovery, and failover strategies.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL tools.
Knowledge of RESTful API data handling and integration workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
