As a highly skilled and experienced MySQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, security, and availability of MySQL database systems. You will collaborate with teams to design, implement, maintain, and optimize database systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Database Administration:** Install, configure, administer, and maintain multiple MySQL database environments (production, staging, development). - **Performance Tuning and Optimization:** Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize query performance, storage, and system efficiency. - **Backup and Recovery:** Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity. - **Security Management:** Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control and auditing. - **Schema Management:** Design, implement, and manage database schema changes while ensuring data integrity. - **Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:** Diagnose and resolve database-related issues efficiently. - **Replication and High Availability:** Implement and manage replication topologies and high availability solutions. - **Automation:** Develop and implement scripts and automation tools for routine tasks. - **Collaboration:** Work closely with teams to understand requirements and provide support. - **Upgrades and Migrations:** Plan and execute upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime. - **Staying Current:** Stay updated on the latest MySQL features, best practices, and security updates. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum 5-6 years of hands-on experience as a MySQL Database Administrator. - 2-3 years of experience managing MySQL databases in Cloud (AWS - RDS/Aurora) & on-premise environments. - Strong understanding of MySQL architecture, internals, and storage engines. - Experience in performance tuning, optimization techniques, and backup procedures. - Knowledge of database security principles and best practices. - Proficiency in writing and debugging SQL queries and stored procedures. - Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages for automation. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
