As an Input Head at our newsroom in Raipur, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the news gathering and coordination process. Your primary responsibility will be managing a team of reporters, stringers, and field crews to ensure a continuous and effective flow of relevant news content to the editorial team. Your key tasks will include overseeing and managing all incoming news content from various sources, coordinating coverage plans for breaking news and live events, assigning stories, and managing daily news logistics. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of news information to the output and production teams, maintaining communication with field reporters and newsroom teams, and building a network of reliable sources and field contacts. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in a newsroom, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or input role. You must possess a deep understanding of news priorities, editorial judgment, and field operations, as well as strong coordination, communication, and crisis management skills. The ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations in real time is essential. Preferred skills for this position include experience in live news environments (TV or digital) and a working knowledge of newsroom operations. Collaborating with output editors, producers, and planning desks for cohesive news delivery will also be a part of your responsibilities.
