Job Description

Experience:

Technology Database Administration MS SQL Server
Technology Database Microsoft SQL Server

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances and databases.
Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
Perform regular database maintenance tasks including backups, restores, and integrity checks.
Optimize SQL queries and indexes for performance improvements.
Implement and maintain database security (authentication, authorization, encryption).
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and outages.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and upgrades.
Automate routine tasks using scripts and tools.
Maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

315 years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server database administration.
Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.
Experience with SQL Server versions 2016 and above.
Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
Familiarity with tools like SQL Profiler, Database Tuning Advisor, and Performance Monitor.
Knowledge of cloud-based SQL Server deployments (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
