Job Description

As a Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, your primary focus will be providing managed services to ensure clients" IT infrastructure and systems remain operational. Your responsibilities include: - Proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems for effective client support. - Monitoring client infrastructure and solutions to catch errors and take necessary actions. - Investigating first-line incidents, understanding root causes, and following approved procedures for request fulfilment. - Providing telephonic, ITSM ticket, or chat support, executing maintenance activities, and ensuring smooth shift handovers. - Identifying optimization opportunities to reduce incidents, automate request fulfilment, incident resolution, and process improvements. - Supporting project work, disaster recovery functions, and tests to contribute to broader goals. To thrive in this role, you need to have: - Basic understanding of technologies such as Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Virtual Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Nexus switches, ASr and ISr routers, Cisco ACS, ISE, Meraki switches, and routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and EIGrP. - Highly disciplined in handling tickets promptly and resolving them using available resources. - Good understanding of ITSM tools and processes. - Strong planning skills and adaptability to changing environments. - A client-focused approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across different cultures. - Active listening skills, positive outlook, resilience under pressure, and a strong work ethic. - A bachelor's degree in information technology/computing or equivalent experience.
