Job Description

Role Overview: As a Security Managed Services Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA, your role involves providing a managed service to clients to ensure the operational efficiency of their Security Infrastructures and systems. You will be responsible for proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems to restore service to clients. Your primary objective will be to review client requests or tickets, apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them within the agreed service level agreement (SLA), and provide second-line support for incidents and requests with medium complexity. Additionally, you may contribute to project work as required. Key Responsibilities: - Proactively monitor the work queues. - Perform operational tasks to resolve all incidents/requests timely and within the agreed SLA. - Update tickets with resolution tasks performed. - Identify, investigate, and analyze issues and errors, and log all incidents in a timely manner. - Provide second-level support to all incidents, requests, and identify the root cause of incidents and problems. - Communicate with other teams and clients for extending support. - Execute changes with clear identification of risks and mitigation plans. - Follow the shift handover process and escalate tickets as needed. - Work with automation teams for task optimization. - Assist L1 Security Engineers for initial triage or troubleshooting. - Lead and manage initial client escalations for operational issues. - Contribute to the change management process by logging change requests. - Plan and execute approved maintenance activities. - Audit and analyze incident and request tickets for quality improvement. - Produce trend analysis reports and contribute to project work as required. - Implement and deliver Disaster Recovery functions and tests. - Perform any other related tasks as required. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing. - Relevant certifications in services supported, with CCNA certification as a must and CCNP in Security or PCNSE certification as good to have. - Moderate level of relevant managed services experience handling Security Infrastructure. - Working knowledge of ticketing tools, preferably Service Now. - Experience working with vendors and/or 3rd parties. - Moderate level of knowledge of ITIL processes.
