Job Description Position : Moulding Officer Company : Astral Adhesives Limited Location : Ahmedabad, Gujarat Experience Required : 1-3 years in plastic moulding operations (Freshers from CIPET or Diploma in Plastic Engineering may apply) About the Role: Astral Adhesives is seeking a Moulding Officer to support the operation, setup, and maintenance of plastic moulding machines used in the production of containers, caps, and other plastic components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with injection moulding or blow moulding machines , preferably in the packaging or chemical industry. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation & Setup: Operate and monitor injection/blow moulding machines to ensure consistent output quality. Set up moulds, adjust process parameters, and perform trial runs as per production plans. Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on moulding machines. Quality & Production Monitoring: Ensure moulded parts meet dimensional and visual quality standards. Identify and correct common moulding defects (e.g., short shots, flash, warping). Maintain production records including cycle time, rejection rate, and material usage. Tool & Mould Management: Assist in mould changeover and cleaning processes. Maintain mould condition, cleanliness, and proper storage. Coordinate with the tool room for mould maintenance and repair needs. Safety & Documentation: Follow safety protocols and ensure proper usage of PPE on the shop floor. Maintain logbooks, job cards, and production documentation accurately. Support in 5S, Kaizen, and other plant improvement activities.
