Job Description

Role & responsibilities

For Mould Setters:

Perform mold changeover, clamping/unclamping, and alignment as per SOP.
Check water connection, ejector setting, cooling lines, and safety interlocks.
Set machine parameters for mold start-up and ensure stable production.
Conduct first piece approval (FPA) trial and adjust process settings if required.
Ensure correct material, masterbatch, and mold as per production plan.
Solve basic machine and mold-related issues (flash, short shot, splay, sticking).
Reduce setup time and support quick changeovers (SMED).

For Mould Line Leaders:

Monitor daily production, cycle time, rejection and machine utilization.
Assist in machine start-up, shutdown, and parameter monitoring.
Coordinate with QA, maintenance & tool room to resolve issues.
Maintain documentation: FPA, production reports, changeover records.
Implement process improvements to reduce defects & downtime.
Train operators on work instructions and safety.
Ensure correct material, masterbatch, and mold as per plan.
Maintain 5S, safety and discipline on the shop floor.
