Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a Monitoring Tools Specialist with strong expertise in BMC TrueSight Operations Management (TSOM) and BMC Helix Operations Management (BHOM). The candidate should have hands-on experience in monitoring solutions, integrations, troubleshooting, and event management, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and manage TSOM/BHOM monitoring solutions

Install and configure Patrol Agents using pconfig utilities

Develop and maintain event management policies, thresholds, and authorization profiles

Troubleshoot monitoring issues and perform root cause analysis

Integrate monitoring tools with third-party monitoring and ticketing systems

Document processes and configurations in MS Word and Excel

Contribute to migration activities such as TSOM to BHOM

Must Have Skills

Strong knowledge of TSOM/BHOM architecture

Patrol Agent installation and configuration experience

Understanding of Patrol and Sentry KMs

Event management policies and threshold configuration

Integration with third-party monitoring/ticketing tools

Firewall access rule creation and monitoring prerequisites

Proficiency in MS Excel (filters, pivots) and MS Word

Basic email etiquette

Good to Have Skills

Python scripting and automation

Kubernetes basics

Grafana dashboards

ITIL knowledge and certifications

Intelligent Integration application and connector configuration experience

Great to Have Skills

TSOM to BHOM migration experience

JSON and API integration knowledge

TSCO/BHCO administration, ETL configuration, and reporting
