5+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk, including:
Creation and optimization of dashboards, alerts, and saved searches
Data onboarding using DB Connect, HTTP Event Collector (HEC), and scripted inputs
Proficient in Python scripting, especially for developing modular inputs
Experience managing Splunk in hybrid, multisite clustered environments
Experience with Splunk platform administration, upgrades, performance tuning, and indexing strategies
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis in distributed Splunk environments
Strong working knowledge of Linux systems, including: CLI, file structures, permission and navigation
Splunk Certified Admin and above
Experience/knowledge with Opsview and/or Grafana Monitoring
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence
Exposure to CI/CD processes and DevOps environments
Knowledge of logging and monitoring best practices in enterprise IT landscapes
Functional Skills:
Strong monitoring mindset with attention to detail and system behavior
Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving environments
Effective team collaboration and cross-functional communication
Good at creating and maintaining documentation for operational and onboarding procedures
Proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership and drive initiatives independently
