Job Description Position: Mobilizer Experience: 1+ Year Reports to: Project Lead Location: Shivaji Nagar, Pune Employment Type: Contract Job Summary The Mobilization Coordinator - Specialized Segment is responsible for identifying, engaging, and mobilizing women from marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA+, commercial sex workers, persons with disabilities, COVID widows, distressed women, and others, to participate in specialized livelihood support programs. The role aims to build trust within these communities, foster partnerships with key stakeholders, and ensure the successful enrollment and retention of participants in the organization's programs. Key Responsibilities 1. Community Engagement Build relationships with marginalized communities, understanding their specific needs and challenges. Identify and enroll eligible women for specialized programs through field visits, local networks, and referrals. Develop and execute mobilization strategies tailored to each communitys unique context. Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts and participant data. Liaise with local NGOs, community leaders, government bodies, and other organizations to identify and reach target groups. Coordinate with field teams and program staff to ensure smooth onboarding of participants. Support participants through the enrollment process, addressing queries and challenges. Monitor participant retention and engagement, identifying and addressing barriers to participation. Advocate for inclusivity and sensitivity in program design and implementation. Conduct sensitization sessions with staff, partners, and community members to reduce stigma and discrimination. Prepare regular reports on mobilization activities, challenges, and outcomes. To work on MS-OFFICE Own Two Wheeler. 2. Qualifications and Skills Education : Bachelors/Masters degree in social work, sociology, gender studies, or related fields. Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience in community mobilization, particularly with marginalized populations. Proven track record of working with women from vulnerable communities including LGBTQIA+, commercial sex workers, persons with disabilities, COVID widows, distressed women. Skill: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport in diverse communities. Sensitivity to cultural, social, and gender issues. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities. Proficiency in local languages is an advantage. Attribute: Empathy, patience, and the ability to work in challenging environments. Commitment to inclusivity. Key Deliverables: Successful mobilization and enrollment of target participants in specialized programs. Strengthened community relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
