MIS Executive

Job Title: MIS Executive / Data Analyst

Department:

Job Purpose:

To manage, analyze, and report key operational and business data to support planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes. The role involves developing dashboards, maintaining master data, and ensuring accuracy of reports to drive performance improvements across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Management & Reporting

• Collect, compile, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for production, sales, dispatch, and inventory.
• Create performance dashboards in Excel/Power BI for real-time tracking of plant KPIs and department metrics.
• Ensure timely reporting of WIP, FG, machine utilization, downtime, and capacity utilization.

2. Data Analysis & Insights

• Analyze trends and highlight variances in production, order fulfilment, procurement, and material movement.
• Generate insights on cost, consumption, efficiency, and material yield for management reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis using historical data to assist in process improvement.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with Production, Stores, QC, and Planning departments to validate data inputs.
• Assist department heads and senior management with data for strategic planning and audits.
• Support SCM and PPC teams in data-driven decision-making.

4. System & Automation

• Design and automate Excel reports using formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, VBA/macros.
• Develop and update Power BI dashboards linked with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, etc.)
• Maintain BOM, Routing, and Machine Master data in coordination with Engineering/Planning teams.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain documentation related to ISO, audits, and monthly reports.
• Ensure data accuracy and compliance with organizational SOPs and industry standards.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong expertise in

  Advanced Excel

  (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros)
• Experience with

  Power BI / Tableau

  for dashboard creation
• Knowledge of

  ERP systems

  like SAP, Oracle, or Tally
• Good analytical and logical thinking skills
• Understanding of manufacturing workflows and KPIs
• Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data integrity

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Science/Commerce/B.E./B. Tech.(preferable) or Postgraduate in Statistics/Analytics/Operations
• Certification in Data Analytics / MIS Reporting (preferred)

Experience:

• 15 years

  of relevant experience as MIS Executive or Data Analyst in a

  manufacturing setup
