MIS Executive

Job Summary

The MIS Executive – Retail is responsible for managing, analysing, and reporting retail data to support informed decision-making across sales, inventory, merchandising, and store operations. The role ensures accurate, secure, and timely Management Information Systems (MIS) while delivering actionable insights through dashboards and reports to improve retail performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze data from retail systems such as POS, ERP, inventory management, and CRM platforms.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to sales performance, inventory levels, stock aging, sell-through, and store productivity.
• Develop and maintain MIS tools, databases, and dashboards for retail management and leadership teams.
• Monitor inventory movement, stock availability, slow-moving and non-moving items, and support replenishment planning.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of retail data in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with sales, merchandising, supply chain, and finance teams to understand reporting needs and deliver customized MIS solutions.
• Present actionable insights to management to support decisions on pricing, promotions, assortment planning, and store operations.
• Support system enhancements, retail analytics projects, and process improvements.
• Train store and corporate staff on MIS reports, dashboards, and data best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Macros, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to design and maintain retail dashboards for sales, inventory, and performance tracking.
• Basic understanding of POS, ERP, or retail management systems is an advantage.

Communication Skills

• Ability to present complex retail data in a clear and actionable manner.
• Strong stakeholder coordination skills across sales, stores, merchandising, and supply chain teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Analytical Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret large retail datasets and identify trends, gaps, and anomalies.
• Attention to detail with a high level of data accuracy.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Certifications in Data Analytics, MIS, Retail Analytics, or Business Intelligence are preferred.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in MIS, data analysis, or reporting, preferably in the retail or consumer goods sector.
• Hands-on experience with sales and inventory reporting and dashboard creation.
• Exposure to live retail projects is an added advantage.

Work Environment

• Full-time role in an office or hybrid setting.
• Regular interaction with store teams, regional managers, merchandising, and senior management.
• Fast-paced retail environment with tight reporting timelines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
