Middleware Administrator

Key Responsibilities

Middleware Management & Support

• Install, configure, and maintain middleware servers (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss EAP, WebSphere, Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, Kafka, Mule ESB).
  
• Deploy and troubleshoot enterprise applications across development, QA, and production environments.
  
• Manage domain configurations, clusters, load balancing, and high availability setups.
  

Performance Tuning & Optimization

• Monitor system performance and implement tuning for JVMs, threads, connection pools, and messaging queues.
  
• Perform capacity planning and scalability improvements.
  

Operational Activities

• Monitor logs, system health, and performance metrics.
  
• Troubleshoot integration issues between applications, databases, and backend services.
  
• Perform patching, upgrades, and security hardening of middleware components.
  
• Manage SSL certificates, keystores, and encryption settings.
  

Automation & CI/CD

• Implement automation of deployments using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, GitLab CI, or Puppet.
  
• Support DevOps pipelines and integrate middleware components into CI/CD workflows.
  

Documentation & Governance

• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, standards, and architecture.
  
• Ensure compliance with IT security, audit, and governance requirements.
  
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and knowledge sharing.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with one or more middleware platforms:

• JVM tuning, GC analysis, and performance optimization.
  
• Experience in:
  
• Deploying Java/.NET middleware-based applications.
  
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  
• Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics).
