They install, maintain, patch, upgrade and continuously improve the operating environment. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers in accordance with Customer-provided designs and Infrastructure System Requirements. Develop and implement recommendations on server instance improvements. Identify and recommend server efficiency opportunities (e.g., consolidation, reduction, and virtualization) on an ongoing basis. Implement Customer-approved strategies and efficiency opportunities. Provide proactive monitoring of POS devices and other Windows devices and respond to alerts, correlate alerts and take corrective actions as required. Resolve or assist in resolving store monitoring incidents and problems and escalate to the appropriate resolver group (e.g., Service Provider or Foot Locker Level 2/Level 3 support), or Foot Locker third party vendors, as applicable. Technical Skills Required: Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other related technical discipline and appropriate years of related technical experience in IT infrastructure Noted years of experience in Microsoft Windows administration, including Active Directory management. An understanding of fundamental security and network concepts (intrusion detection, TCP/IP, SSL, ports, switching and routing Scripting and automation experience Understanding Virtual Machines and the systems they run on Must Have Skills Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong organizational skills required, including good time management skills. Strong technical and non-technical communication skills Strong attention to detail Experience solving complex access issues and executing permission changes based on evolving information. Ability to establish and maintain high levels of client trust and confidence. Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies to understand and solve challenging problem Empathetic perspective on the customer point of view Team player with a positive attitude Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
