Microservice & API Expert
. You will be running technical deep dive and architecture sessions with customers and partners. Showing clients SnapLogic's capabilities, advising on integration with SAP ERP, S/4 systems, and Salesforce, and using APIs and microservices ! How You ll Make an Impact
- Running technical deep dive and architecture sessions with customers and partners.
Demonstrating Proof of Concepts to customers, advising prospects and customers on SnapLogic use, Integration patterns with SAP ERP and S/4 systems, Salesforce, etc., and applying these integrations as APIs and microservices. - Partner with other architects, vendors, partners, business, and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into capability/platform roadmaps and work toward realizing the roadmaps
- Collaborating with product owners, business analysts, and developers to identify, develop, document, deliver API's ,Design, develop, test and implement APIs for use in software applications
- Analyze, design, and coordinate the development of major components of the API management system and downstream APIs including hands on implementation, testing, review, build automation, and documentation
- You will partner with other architects, vendors, partners, business, and technical teams for designing, implementing, and overseeing the development of applications using a microservices architecture.
- Implement standards/design patterns to monitor, manage and secure communication between microservices in a distributed application
- Ensure coding standard processes and test coverage through peer reviewing
- Working across ocean to support Siemens Energy internal and external customers.
- Implement standard methodologies/design patterns and continuously coach/mentor team members.
Act as primary technical evangelist on behalf of integration team for various microservice patterns involving microservices and API s - Ensure alignment to defined guidelines, processes, and procedures, while working within the work with development team to design and implement innovative solutions with a focus on adhering to standards, guidelines, and code quality techniques
- Build and maintain effective working relationship with key technology team members.
You will Support Distributed team in analyst briefings (Forrester, Gartner, IDC, etc.) - Have expertise in Microservice and API Management, with the potential to advance to an Enterprise Level Architect role.
- Your recognitions will be global since you will be supporting several Businesses with ~70K users.
What You Bring
You should have a total of 4-6 years of work experience in API Management, including at least 2+ years in Microservices-based Architecture.
A bachelor s or master s degree in engineering with Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience is required. You should have expertise in technology consulting, architecture, and design with a focus on microservices, service mesh, and API Management. Key skills include providing Integration Modernization and recommending leading API management products like Kong Enterprise and service mesh products like Kong Mesh.
Hands-on experience in Enterprise-wide API management is essential, including API Design, API Documentation, API Security and Compliance, API Ops, and API Performance Optimization.
You should be well-versed in modern API concepts such as GraphQL, gRPC, and Async APIs, with proficiency in writing API contracts using Swagger and async API specifications.
You should also have experience in architecting, deploying, and maintaining Kong Mesh (based on Kuma) infrastructure to ensure seamless service-to-service communication across Kubernetes and hybrid environments.
A deep understanding of microservice design patterns and service mesh concepts is required, including configuring and optimizing mesh features such as mutual TLS (mTLS), intelligent traffic routing, circuit breakers, rate limiting, and observability.
Strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing microservices-based solutions and strategies, as well as managing the microservices adoption process within an organization, is crucial.
You should have a solid understanding of web methodologies, including REST Architecture, SOA, ESB, APIs, Web Services, WSDL, Open API, XML, and JSON.
It is an added advantage if you have interface architecture knowledge with one or more on-premises or SaaS packaged solutions for ERP, CRM, and PLM systems, such as SAP, S/4 Hana, Salesforce, Teamcenter, or Oracle.
