Job Description:

We are looking for a Microbiologist cum Finished Goods (FG) Chemist with hands-on experience in the personal care/cosmetics industry. The candidate will be responsible for microbiological testing, finished goods quality control, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, bulk, finished goods, water, and environmental samples
• Conduct FG analysis as per approved specifications and test methods
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and cosmetic regulatory requirements
• Maintain microbiology lab activities including media preparation, culture handling, and documentation
• Carry out preservative efficacy testing (PET) and stability-related microbiological tests
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and non-conformance issues
• Maintain test records, COAs, SOPs, and laboratory documentation
• Coordinate with QA/QC and production teams for quality-related issues
• Ensure calibration and upkeep of laboratory instruments

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of microbiological testing in cosmetics/personal care products
• Experience in FG quality control and documentation
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO, and cosmetic regulatory guidelines
• Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Experience specifically from personal care or cosmetics manufacturing industry
• Exposure to audits and regulatory inspections will be an advantage
