Metallurgist

Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically sound Junior Metallurgist to join our Foundry Division. This entry-level role will involve monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing melting processes to ensure metal quality and consistency for casting. The role provides excellent hands-on exposure to furnace operations, alloying, metal chemistry, and process control in a dynamic foundry environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily furnace operations
• Ensure proper selection and charging of raw materials and alloys as per process requirements.
• Monitor and record melting parameters like temperature, melt time, slag condition, etc.
• Support in managing melt shop process documentation (melt reports, analysis logs, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with internal metallurgical standards and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with quality and production teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Follow all safety guidelines, PPE compliance, and environmental procedures in the melt shop.
• Assist in trials of new raw materials, melting practices, or alloy compositions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering / Materials Engineering.
• Experience: 0–1 years (Internship or academic project in melting/foundry operations preferred).
• Skills & Competencies:
• Basic understanding of melting techniques and foundry operations.
• Familiarity with furnace operations and metal refining principles.
• Good analytical, observational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and report preparation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹14,500.00 per month
