Merchandiser - Fashion & Textiles

As a Merchandiser in the fashion and textile industry, your role will involve sourcing and managing trims, fabrics, and knits according to design and production requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with vendors, coordinating with design, production, and marketing teams, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Staying updated with market trends, negotiating pricing and quality with vendors, identifying new suppliers, and monitoring inventory and costs will also be key aspects of your job. Key Responsibilities: - Source and manage trims, fabrics, and knits based on design and production needs. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. - Coordinate with design, production, and marketing teams for timely material delivery. - Stay informed about market trends and vendor capabilities. - Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery schedules with vendors. - Identify and onboard new vendors to expand the supplier network. - Monitor inventory, costs, and raw material quality. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Solid knowledge of trims, fabrics, and knit materials. - Established vendor and supplier network in the fashion industry. - Understanding of marketing and vendor sourcing strategies. - Strong negotiation and communication skills. - Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines. - Previous experience in merchandising within the fashion/textile industry is preferred.
