As a Merchandising Manager for the Bridal/Wedding category at BIBA Fashion, your role is crucial in creating trend-led collections that appeal to the modern Indian bride while upholding the BIBA design DNA. Your responsibilities include: - Developing seasonal merchandise plans covering Sarees, SKDs, Lehengas, and Festive Occasion wear, defining product architecture, and setting category targets. - Collaborating with Design and Fabric teams to ensure collections balance innovation, trend, and commerciality. - Overseeing vendor network development, evaluating vendors for quality and reliability, and negotiating cost efficiencies. - Monitoring category performance, analyzing sell-throughs, and optimizing buying and production strategies. - Coordinating cross-functionally with Marketing, VM, E-commerce, Production, and Sourcing teams for effective product launches and timely deliveries. Qualifications required for this role include: - Graduate/Postgraduate in Fashion Management, Apparel Merchandising, or Textile Design with 8-12 years of merchandising experience, specifically in ethnic/occasion wear or bridal category. - Strong product knowledge of Sarees, SKDs, Lehengas, fabrics, embroideries, and surface ornamentation. - Excellent vendor network and proven management skills, along with analytical, planning, and negotiation abilities. - Proficiency in color, fabric, and silhouette relevant to Indian weddings and festive wear.
