Merchandise Planner

As an Inventory Manager at Gambol, you will be part of a fast-growing multi-brand sports retailer known for its honest guidance, foot education, premium brand curation, and exceptional in-store experience. With a strong online presence and expanding to multiple large-format experience stores, we are seeking a sharp, analytical individual to join our team. Key Responsibilities: - Convert sales trends into effective preorders and accurate buying plans - Manage stock accuracy, replenishment, and ageing control - Plan size-curve, reporting, demand forecasting, and reorder planning - Reduce dead stock and oversee warehouse-store movement This is not just a warehouse or stock movement job. It is a category-planning, data-analysis, and buying-support role that directly impacts sales, margins, cashflow, and customer experience. The position is full-time and on-site in Ahmedabad. Qualifications Required: Must-Have Experience: - 4-8 years in retail inventory, merchandise planning, or demand planning - Preferably from retail brands like Decathlon, Puma, Adidas, Skechers, etc. - Strong understanding of footwear/apparel SKU complexity - Proven expertise in Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Index-Match) - High attention to detail and operational discipline Skills & Traits: - Analytical mindset with commercial understanding - Strong coordination with stores, warehouse, and vendors - Process-driven and highly organized - Comfortable in fast-moving, high-SKU environments - Ability to set up dashboards and automate reports - Calm, systematic, and proactive problem solver - Thrives in a rapidly scaling business Compensation: 50,000 - 80,000/month (Extra budget available for candidates from top brand planning teams),
