MEP Planning Engineer / Sr. Execution Engineer (9+ years)

The MEP Planning / Execution Engineer will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and executing all MEP-related works (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Low Voltage Systems) across residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects. The role involves close coordination with project teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, safety compliance, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:-

Planning & Coordination

- Develop detailed MEP work schedules aligned with the overall project plan.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers for seamless integration of MEP works. - Review design drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for accuracy and feasibility. - Ensure procurement planning for MEP materials and equipment within timelines.

Execution & Supervision

- Oversee on-site execution of MEP works as per approved drawings and project specifications.
- Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems. - Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and statutory regulations. - Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project milestones.

Cost & Resource Management

- Track and control MEP budgets, material consumption, and labor productivity.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. - Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for timely deliveries.

Quality & Safety

- Implement quality assurance and control measures for all MEP works.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols on-site for MEP activities. - Coordinate with safety officers for compliance with EHS standards.

Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare progress reports on daily / weekly basis, resource utilization reports, and issue logs.
- Assist project managers in client meetings and presentations. - Maintain complete documentation of MEP works including approvals, test reports, and commissioning certificates.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
- Proficiency in project planning software (MS Project / Primavera). - Excellent coordination and vendor management skills. - Strong understanding of local building codes, IS standards, and NBC. - Hands-on experience in execution and commissioning of large-scale real estate projects. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- PMP certification (preferred but not mandatory). - Minimum 912 years of experience in MEP planning and execution, preferably in real estate or large construction projects.(Multi Storey buildings)
